Dakkota Wolf 2.0 ?
After 8 years since i built my very first fursuit on my own, which is the current Dakkota Wolf, im discovering his current head is really showing its age, and with it being still the original-prototype that determined if i would venture into fursuit building as a profession, he is really showing the wear and tear of time.
I know i mentioned it in a journal a few years back, but i delayed it and kept him going for these last few years.
I believe its time to build Dakkota a new head with all the modern techniques and designs.
MFF may be the last con for this current head, but the next con he may be new.
I am interested though in your thoughts on the design. As Dakkota has become a bit of a "known" character in the fandom, i'm not sure how some design/shape changes would be accepted.
Should i build the new head with the shape of the original, but with new internals and material, or build him in the new current design that most people want in commissioned suits, ( as in the current shape of the recent suits like the Charismatic Wolf, Beauwolf, etc.) but with Dakkota eyes, colors, fur, and patterns ?
I may do a Photoshop of the current shape/design to see how he would look.
Some updates coming soon on the current WIP suits and the next 3 - 4 suits to be opened up soon !

I would love too see another version
it would be really cool
I like the idea
I like the same design
I wouldn't change to much on it
But if it is to be called, "Dakkota Wolf", then it should look like, "Dakkota Wolf".
IMHO.
PS.: Upload 3 or 4 designs of Dakkota and make a voting^^
Keep the headdress though!
Just move that design to a fresh head with your current awesome muzzle shapeing and other progresses, and he will be perfect!
So long as he's recognizable as Dakkota, I don't think anyone will mind if you freshen up his design a bit. And you know what? If anyone does give you crap, ignore them! He's your suit, and your character. *wags*
If you change his design, that's your prerogative. He's your character and he's your creation. Though I hope to start hitting cons and hanging with you would be outstanding.
Just do what you want with him. He's your character, not anyone else's to decide.
Like I said to you two weeks ago, I think it'd really add to his character while retaining his original image if you applied some of those "tribal" or native patterns to other parts of his body. They don't have to be excessive in number, but it's a really easy yet unique way of adding more "story" and character to him!
In the end though, you're the master of your own creation. Whatever the outcome, as long as you're happy, with it nothing else matters!
but as other have said it is totally up to you in the end.
But that also means I gotta hurry up and get to Canada so I can snap some more pix with you before you retire him!
But again as people state it's your head and if you feel it's the right thing to do the go for it ;)
Though since it's 8 years old I think a new head would be good since your building technique has changed a lot.
