I bet. Snow is pretty, but it's one of those "too much of a good thing" dealies in a big way. Even a little can cause very dangerous driving conditions and such... x.=.x

I love how adorable rain seems to affect you. But yes, it always calms me down as well. When I had problems sleeping I let my computer stay on with sounds of rain. That was the onlything that helped me at the time. I dont know why its so calming? Maybe I feel extra lucky and cozy to be inside while its cold and wet outside? But the sound is the most important part! I also had a lot of fun playing in the rain as a child, so it brings back a lot of good memories!

I'm much the same way, I remember every summers rain like it was yesterday, each year building up the feeling and respect for a good rain fall, and knowing it's what brings the plants and everything life. The smell is the big one for me, then the sound you described is also a lovely experience to behold. I hope someday to move to the west coast of BC where the rain falls liberally, and the trees and plant life look like they've been injected with steroids. I wish I didn't feel so alone right now since thinking about these things makes me desire that warm body more than ever, my mate is half a world away and reminiscing like this is both beautiful and painful. Some day things will be better.
