I heard they even have...or had (?)...a con going. Seem to be a fair number of furs in the area. Then again, seem to be a greater portion of the Oregon populous around Portland.

oh? i actually don't know a whole lot about the area as of yet!

While I haven't actually driven there, I did make a venture into the northern sections of Oregon that involved an over night stay, several years ago. And that kind of broke my notion of what to expect from Oregon. For the rather urbanized town was...scummy. Reminded me of worn out Los Angeles. Felt like crime rates were up and standards were down. Didn't help that the supposedly upper class motel I had found had some kind of gang hanging out all night and two of their type had rented the adjacent room...to be into some rather abusive kind of relationship. My complaint at 2 am was when the manager decided that 9-1-1 was warranted. Needless to say, I kept the taser close at hand, that night. But, I can say nothing about if this experience is reflected even in the slightest to how Portland conducts their public relations.

Well motels are shady. i try and avoid them entirely...

It was all a matter of doing this spontaneously. Usually, I would pre-plan it all out via the miracle of the internet and find great motels with great feedback and great prices.

However, the town that I was driving through felt a bit economically depressed. Like if I had spent the night there, my ride would be gone the next morning...kind of depressed. I'm tempted to say the name of the location was Eugene. However, I'm not one hundred percent sure. As a Google search is saying it's a top rated town to moving into. Maybe I just traversed the bad street or something?

I live in north WA and I may visit Portland sometimes xD
