Life update. Emergency/Necessity commission slots
11 years ago
Hey there everyone. I wanted to post just to give a little update on stuff since I might not get to for a bit.
So, I guess I just wanted to say that 2014 is rough. Really rough. I feel like I've been back and forth all year. As I posted in my recent stuff - I am currently out of town visiting family where I grew up and I'm flying back today. I've kinda been depressed a lot lately for a lot of personal reasons and getting back home isn't really helping.
Ideally, I came home to try and relax for a few weeks but it stressed me out in other ways that I didn't expect but now that I am getting close to going back home it's just getting much, much worse. When I get back to my pace in Portland there is a good chance I won't have internet and possibly electricity for awhile. On top of that they raised the rent at my current place by 100$ as well as they announced they are evicting non-students in January and I am not a student. The second I get back I have to hunt down a new apartment that it feels like I'm never going to manage making work.
Anyway, that's all besides the point - getting back I was looking forward to devoting my time to commissions with fresh eyes and a fresh mind but instead this throws a huge kink in my plans. Instead of me being able to do commissions through streams and stuff - I now have to do them remotely and they are much more of a necessity. The only internet access I will have tonight onward for however long will be through my phone, this means I definitely won't be able to post and I won't be able to reply as quickly as I wanted. But, if anything this just means I need to open up commissions more and dedicate myself to them entirely. There's really no better motivation than necessity.
I'm sorry if I can't reply immediately but I will be devoting everything I have to those commissions inquiries that I've had piling up. There are a few of you waiting for things or in the queue and so I'll be working on those ASAP when I get back. But, I wanted to open up for more as well while I am at home. Now, I know I won't be able to reply to them as quickly as I would like and I don't want these to pile up so I will work through them as quickly as I can, but because I know I won't be around as often and I don't want anyone waiting - I won't be accepting payment through Paypal until after I get you the finished piece. I am hoping I will work quick, until I get internet back and housing stuff figured out I won't be able to eat really so maybe that'll be a double-good motivator.
Point is; I am looking to open commissions with no payment until after I get it to you, but please understand if it takes awhile to get it to you.

I'm sorry for the stupid sob story and the giant paragraph, I just kind of need to vent sometimes.

I would be interested in a sketch or two, with two characters if that is something okay?
And that's absolutely okay. Let me know whatever you had in mind with references or descriptions or whatever! :)

i live in portland as well, so feel free to let me know if you need some apartment hunting help. i know what it's like to have to move on really short notice (i pulled off two moves this year, one from out-of-state. not fun at all).
for now, though... i think i'd reallllyyy like a commission! do you have examples as to what each tier will look like? my apologies if i'm missing something obvious somewhere, like a commission sheet or something.
Apartment hunting help probably wouldn't be so bad. I have had to do last-minute moves in Portland around 4-5 times since I've moved here so I'm unfortunately familiar with it but I have a lot of weird circumstances that make finding a place extra, extra difficult. @@
I just updated this to have some example links. I would make a commission sheet but this temporary internet connection I'm on before my flight is too spotty to upload anything. @@

What I’d like for you to draw for me is a fusion of those two: their son. That would be a cat/rabbit/wolf/deer person. I’d like to give you free reign with the design, but for the following: he should have long hair. He should have hooves, like his mother. And he should be cute! We’ll say his age should be…hmm. About 12.
How’s that sound?
Oh, and this would be a single-character, no background commission.
Just remember to take care of yourself and try not to get burnt out. <3
