If it's not the cheat bots, it's the in-game currency sellers.

Mind you, I have not seen any such advertising in quite some time over at WoW. But I know it still exists for various MMOs!

Same for botting. I mean, why even bother playing the game if you're not even going to be there to "play" it?

I see. It allows anyone to boost their character with real money, right? It also destabilize the balance in the game, right? Sorry, I haven't played much MMOs in my life. I was very into the beta stage of Ragnarok, 10 years ago. Then played some Planetside with dragon friends as it went partially F2P. Then some Lineage with a colleague for 3 months. Then some Priston Tale and I think that's it. :E

Yeah. Pay so many dollars and get a certain amount of currency. Or at least you -hope- to get, if they are not scamming in the first place. And yes, it messes up the economy for those who earn the currency the right way. Same goes for the bots. You see characters mindlessly going to specific spots in an area in a constant and very precise loop. Again, I have not personally seen such things happen in a long time thankfully. But there are still plenty of valid reports.

We should stomp some cheaters/botters or something some day. XP

No its not cheating..its "yes i'm smarter than you" In war, its all about the advantage...if we have the nukes...is that cheating?

I gave up gamming years ago...may play once in a blue moon...but I find myself being a "maker" and "modder"...and yes "hacker"...not so much into game hacking anymore (yes I did allot of wiresharking/Ethereal in my time)...More into reverse engineering with electronics/controllers/etc. After all everything is going to software anyways...

That's a sad truth in FPS games, unfortunately. A lot of people want to get skilled and dominate others in games. And if you get skilled enough, they can think you cheat and ban you. Not so many seems to want to play "just for fun", but I hope I'm wrong.

But Counter-Strike games are the worst about cheating, all way back to the first CS game, and I always stay away from these. There's far better other FPS games imho.

Anyway, I'm sorry that you got banned. It always sucks.

that's why I play single player game and multiplayer with people I know. when you go to a server and get too good, people think your cheat. Nop, you're just better than their lazy ass.
