Lucid dreaming is sort off weird; to use a completely off the wall comparision, it is sort of like trying to have sex in Second Life. There are poses, furniture and toys you can buy that will let you do certain things within the context of the system, but much of it you have to fake through text. Similiarly, I've found that my dreams have a set way they intend to go. This can be influenced, but too much pressure and you get this sort of "I'm totally doing it" but without the "graphics," so to speak. I've pulled guns out to shoot monsters, or wished up super powers to deal with obstacles and the dream accepts it, but its almost as though you're playing a really intense game of "lets pretend" and the moment you slip, everything reverts or (more likely) runs into a new and different dream.

I think my favorite lucid moment (that doesn't involve doing naughty things with characters that were not intended to be naughty) was during such a shoot-out. I turned around after having fired my non-existant gun at the baddies, to see what else was in the dream. Then I turn back toward my stalker to notice he's getting back up. "Eh! No, no. You're shot. Get back on the ground." He sort of gave me this disgusted look and got back down, playing dead.

I sometimes try to fly in dreams. I only acheive neutral boyency and get stuck with my legs up in the air and my face in a corner.

*rubs Tris-balloon against the wall, then sticks him to Luke's back.*
