Black history month, as every one should know, atleast if their school was like mine.
BUT, it's also National Heart Awareness Month, which is something I think is /really/ important.
Why?
Because the NUMBER ONE KILLER OF ANYONE IS HEART DISEASE!!!!
SERIOUSLY!!
So, please, do your self a favor, go get your blood pressure and blood sugar checked out. I'm sure that other places will have stations set up like they have at my work where they will check these for you.
PLEASE! Do this for yourself. You need to be aware of your health, and your heart is one of those things that you can't live without!!
Just so you know how prevelant heart disease is, I'll give you my first-hand knowlege.
-My cousin had to have open heart surgery when she was three to fix a hole in her heart
- When I was a Freshman in high school, one of my best friends -who was 15 and healthy- DIED of heart disease
- Her mother and her three older sisters all got checked out, and the youngest had a hole in /her/ heart.
Heart disease kills more more woman then ANY other cause! And, it's often hereditary. I keep a good eye on my blood pressure, do you know what yours was the last tiem you went to the doctor??
