Hola, Fur Affinity.

Haven't been on here much lately, I'm kinda on a break from furry, atm, because I'm still adjusting to quite a few things in my life. Still drawing, sorta, and I'm still around the interwebs, but spending most of my time on Facebook and Equestria Daily. Yeah, I'm a Brony. The show is tons of fun, and I never lost my love of MLP from childhood, so it feels good to have so many people who love it too. :3

Well, as for what's new since my last update, I've moved out of my mom's house, and now live in a cozy little appartment with a roommate in Shoreline. I also got promoted at work, I am now a "Person In Charge", and am a full-time employee. And, I've been doing some dating, and am sorta dating one guy, but it's not serious.

Also since May, I've discovered the awesomeness that is Portal 2, started on the Assasin's Creed franchise, fallen in love with Adventure Time (and bubblegum/marceline), and started using Tumblr. D:

I also have been having MAJOR computer issues. I've been wanting to post stuff, but my comps been crashing alot lately. I've been having decent stability lately, so I'm hoping that I can upload some stuff onto here.

I really miss all my fur friends, though. Those of you I haven't found on facebook, which is most of you, I have no idea what y'all are up to. Need to try to get back into meets, but it's hard when you're working retail. I need peoples' contact info, and I want to be social again. If you're reading this and you still count me as a friend, I'd love to have emails or facebook/google+ info.

HOW TO SPOT A KASA

I'm about 5'6", and a pudge ball. I'm actually as dark as my fursona. No, really! I been told that I look alot like her! I have long, dark, unruly hair, and am almost always smiling. XD I will probably be wearing bright colors, and a few badges. And, I'm loud and spazztic and I love people, and I figure that I'm prolly going to hang out in the atrium or in the zoo alot of the time. Please, feel free to approach me, I only bite if threatened. Or, if that's your thing...... D:

Hey, I'm gonna be at RainFurrest again this year, and I'm hoping to maybe do a badge or some other arts for you for pick-up at con! I will take money or art in payment. =] My prices are:

- $15 for a badge (scrapbooking paper available)

If you want a trade, please note that my fursona /is/ a catgirl, and that means that for badges, this is the character that I will most likely want drawn. I need something to get me interested again... I've been having a hard time lately to find good ideas of stuff to draw. It's frustrating, I start drawing, with no real direction, as I do often, but all I get is some silly stuff that isn't worth finishing, so I just stop. It's annoying, but I'm stressed over a bunch of things that are about to change, and it's stifling my creative juices. They're at their best when I can just focus on the lines and the story they hold. Cause with every picture I draw, there is inevitably a little story to go with it. I'm too distracted by the uncertainties of the moment that I can't get into the story of the pic... :<

Anyone wanna give me a story to get my lines focused? Nothing to do with personal characters, just a couple sentences that set a bit of a scene?

Because the NUMBER ONE KILLER OF ANYONE IS HEART DISEASE!!!!

So, please, do your self a favor, go get your blood pressure and blood sugar checked out. I'm sure that other places will have stations set up like they have at my work where they will check these for you.

PLEASE! Do this for yourself. You need to be aware of your health, and your heart is one of those things that you can't live without!!

Just so you know how prevelant heart disease is, I'll give you my first-hand knowlege.

-My cousin had to have open heart surgery when she was three to fix a hole in her heart

- When I was a Freshman in high school, one of my best friends -who was 15 and healthy- DIED of heart disease

- Her mother and her three older sisters all got checked out, and the youngest had a hole in /her/ heart.

Heart disease kills more more woman then ANY other cause! And, it's often hereditary. I keep a good eye on my blood pressure, do you know what yours was the last tiem you went to the doctor??

So, I've been pretty none post-y lately. Or, actually, for most of the time I've been here. I know, I should post more, thing is, I don't have a scanner. I haven't had one since mine died about a year and a half ago. It was pretty unreliable before that, too. The nbot having a scanner thing was okay, for a while, 'cause they have scanners at school. But, I've been taking online classes this quarter, and have only gone to school once...

Then there's the fact that the first time I tried to use my laptop after RainFurrest, I discover that the screen has magically died. YAY! So, I have a new one now, it's a shiny widescreen Acer. But, I don't have any of the stuff from my old comp, like some pics that I needed to clean-up and post. Or Photoshop and OpenCanvas.... DX Or, well, a good number of stuff that makes life difficult not having.

This is why I have resorted to using the built-in webcam and the crappy tools in Windows Photo Gallery. But, I have a few serious stuff I'd love to post, but the current situation makes it difficult. I know I can go to the local Fry's and get a scanner for $50+tax, but I don't know how good it'd be, so I'm looking for some recommedations, if only for a perticular brand. I'm thinking of asking for a scanner, or the money for one for christmas, but I'd like to have something particular in mind, so I don't end up with the same thing as what happened with my last scanner. ((It was on clearance, a no-name brand, and was nothing but trouble))

As for life, not much going on. Work makes me unable to go to meets, as I work EVERY saturday and sunday. I like the job itself, but the hours suck royally.

Also, been sick for 2+ weeks now, and I'm hoping I'm finally getting over it. It sucks have a sore throat everyday for more than, like, a day.... I hate sore throats, 'cause then I can't sing, can't talk much, and it hurts to drink citrus-y things, which are my fav.... ;.;

(I don't drive, and I can't find a ride) So I was wondering if someone had some room in the corner of there hotel room where I could stash some of my things untill friday. I have a room friday and saturday, so I just need storage Thursday...

Or, if someone is passing through Renton early friday morning, at, like, 9am.. I need a while to set-up..... >.<;;

So, I am hoping to be attending RainFurrest this year. Last year was fun outside of some personal drama, so I would love to go. Plus, it'd be wierd to go to a con on the other side of the state, and not the one less than ten miles from where I live.

One major thing in the way of me attending is that I don't have a room.

I'm hoping to have a table with a friend of mine, and am looking for a room for the two of us. We are both female, and I know that we have both slept on the floor just fine before. All we need is a corner of the room to sleep in and somewhere to put our stuff and art at.

My preference is to room with females, but I am willing to consider rooming with men. I just don't wanna worry about changing and stuff. I like lounging in my skivvies... X3

Any help would be lovely!

just a little note to those who were worried, I made it back a-okay!

for those curious, the convention was across the whole state of Washington from where I live, and I that included a mountain pass, where it was snowing... but, according to my mom, it was all pretty clear on the road. I slept through it... I was one tired kitty! X3

I have the price for commisions basically set, $7 for sketch, $10 for inks, and $20 for pencil color. ((yes, it's that hard to do colors)) The thing is I'm not sure what to charge for badges or prints. I was thinking about charging $15 for badges, but I don't know if that's too much, since I've got limited experience with badges. I'm ordering me a laminator today, and I did some experiment badges this morning I hope to scan on monday. But, the thing is I that a couple I started awhile ago, and I forgot to time myself on the one I did completely today. plus, I was slightly distracted, 'cause I was watching Rent... X3

As for prints, I was thinking between $5 or $7, but I guess that really depends on how much I shell out to get them printed. and since I'm going to Costco, and I'm unsure on my abillities to sell prints.... *sighs*

LASTLY, can I get someone who is attending AFF to do a badge trade with me? I need a badge for the suit I'll have there, and I can't get the colors right, totally, myself. where would one go to get adult prints???

I'm truly stumped. I'm planning on going to my local Costco to get the prints I'mma sell at AFF, but I don't really think that they'd appreciate me printing off a bunch of mature things. actually, I don't really want to print out a bunch of mature things in the middle of Costco. TECHNICALLY, there's a photo quality printer at my house, but my mom won't let me use it.... *sighs* I'd just do the adult ones at home if I could, but noooo.... ;w;

~What is your fursona?
Kasa is a half-fur cat-girl. She is me as I have felt I am waaaay before I even knew the word 'furrie'. Yes, I <3 anime.

Where did the name of your Fursona come from?
Kasa comes from me feeling that I was a cat-girl ever since I was 11 or 12. The extra fur comes from the fact that I feel like I'm always sorta 'stuck in the middle'. It also comes from not being able to identify tottally with one thing. My mom is white. My father is arabic, and I haven't ever seen him. I often get asked if I'm from India... that, and I /reaaaally/ wanted paws! X3

What species is your fursona and why did you choose that species?
She's a long-haired domestic house-cat crossed with a human. Long-hair, 'cause I like fluffy stuff, and 'cause my baby is a long-hair. house-cat, because I act like one. Ask my seme, or my friends. I mew when surprised, I'll curl-up in your lap, I like to have my head scratched, and I can hiss like nobody's business! I use my nails and teeth to defend myself... I'm just a regular housecat.

What colour is your fursona and why?
She's got my skin color and the hair is close to mine. The fur's just a bit redder 'cause I like auburn. the eyes are basically the same, but mine are a wierd red/tan/brown color, so it's hard to match.

What is your fursona's personality and how does this compare to your real life personality?
she is me. that's basically it. though, I think that she may be a bit more of an exhibitionist.....
