An end to an era
So, at the end of this month, i will be leaving the Navy after 14 years of service. Not retiring, but being forced out because i can't advance to the next paygrade. I will be moving back home to Indiana, getting a job and likely doing college as well so that i can earn a degree or two in my work field. Not that many people will notice mind you. I'm perfectly willing to believe that much like myself, the majority of the people who follow me will nuke this journal with all the rest of them after maybe the most cursory of glances. It likely wont catch their eye and warrant the read, but ah well, that's how it likely is for most people. Anyway, it'll be tight for us as most of the money we get from the Navy will be used to give us as close to a clean slate as possible, and the rest for living arrangements until i can get a steady income from whatever employment i can find, hopefully in my field of work. Or maybe management, who knows. I do know how to manage people and get them to work for me as it is part and parcel of ranking up in the military.
Any well wishes would be welcome, and once we get our house straightened out (it has some work that still needs doing in it) we will likely be up for possible visitors and maybe doing other things. We hope that we can do AC this year, but we may not have the funding that we would need for it, so we'll see what happens. i will be serving in the reserves if all goes well, so maybe i'll get lucky and get to do some 1 or 3 month tours for active duty pay to supplement our finances.
Anywho, just wanted to update anyone who wanted to know, and wish everyone else the warmest of holiday seasons.
Sincerely,
Raziel
