I'm generally one that prefers to say something meaningful more cases than not over something lame and predictable. That and laziness, when going through hundreds of submissions a day. XD
i'm similar, as i said below XD i prefer saying meaningful things. the exceptions being my closest of friends on FB. i'll often comment to thier pics as "awesome!" or such...
well, technically, it's not my close friends i do that to, it's the more distant friends on various support groups, actually... but also sometimes closer friends.
Yes, indeed, I recently discovered your gallery and Favorited a LOT of your very beautiful images that I really love before I then returned to what I doing prior to said discovery.
But I am one who does favorite a LOT therefore doesn't spend much time writing comments unless it's an image that totally blows me away.
And, BTW, I do add some of these images to a "favorite slide" show of a few hundred (chosen from over 15,000) that I constantly operate in my living room and, sometimes, I do not realize my high appreciation for a particular artwork until months later when it pops on the slide show I see it from a distance.
At which point I may relocate the source and write a comment LONG after I Favorited it.
I do appreciate your sharing and I do love your creations.
Thank you VERY much and please keep up the excellent work.
And, BTW, I may have some unique stuff in my own gallery you might like.
personally, i'm just not very big on comments. they are often things like "awesome" and such, which makes me sound less-than actually enthusiastic. not very good on the words, myself.
I'll occasionally comment, if i actually have a length to say, but i will often prefer commenting on journals, as there is more conversational content. as you can see. although i adore the art :) looking through, it's actually some of my most-like styles, to be truthful.
i have a habit of watch-lurking good artist. a friend of mine recently described my friends/watch list as "very VIP".
