Question to my watchers: Going to Anthrocon?
Since GrangeCon has moved to March, I'm open for AC this year. I didn't have the much of an experience last time I was there, and I'm still not very comfortable at large cons, but I'm also interested in meeting people I haven't seen much of.
If a lot of people comment here saying they're going, I'll give serious consideration to it. I want to know now so I can start planning since I know hotel reservations open early in the year. I don't want to seem demanding, but I don't see a reason to tote out to Pitt for a con that'll be too packed and busy for me to feel good unless I'm likely to run into more than a couple friends from FA.
So is anyone else planning on going? I might try to organize a meet if there's interest.

Anthrocon is one of my favorites, but in general I'm not a fan of any conventions. :)
Small cons work for me, though I'm good with medium ones if there's a lot on the program (since usually that means I'm on it and there's not a lot of chance of being swept away when I'm behind the table most of the con).
When I went to Anthrocon a while back; I had a blast. I suited a lot, went out to dinner often, and just did my own thing with a few close friends.
I'd say for sure that if you go, have at least 1 person you could hang out with at all times. Keeps the large convention feeling small.
Pittsburgh is enough reason to go though. City is nice and lots of good food! (I'm a foodie, so trying new places makes me very happy)
Totally agree about good food. I've been trying to make my way through every restaurant near me so I can review them on Tripadvisor.
