So last week my car died while driving on the highway. It was a pretty scary experience because the vehicle was smoking and I was losing control from the power steering as I was trying to get over towards the shoulder. Ended up getting it towed home and after a long, cold day in the rain my brother, who is a trained and certified mechanic, pronounced it dead.
This whole thing has really blindsided me and I would be absolutely lost if not for the help of my girlfriend. She offered to help chip in for a new car with money she had literally Just earned at MFF. We had been trying to save for a car prior to this but things have been a little tough and it wasn't going as well as we'd hoped.

For now we're looking around at what we might be able to afford, but in the meantime  Poprockgrey set up a go fund me to seek additional help.

Honestly hard for me to do something like this but sometimes you simply do have to ask for help, and any that anyone could provide would really be appreciated.
