Yes, I really, really love this stuff, it is so many things at once to me. Snow can be hard and concrete or as soft as cotton, you can walk over it with the easy of walking down the street or get stuck in it so deep, you can barely pull yourself out again.
It is so beautiful, blankets everything with a smoothing layer, rounding even the harshed angles and making them look soft and gently, yet this very same layer suffocates mankind's roads, and just at the same moment helps mice and such small animals to survive the winter, some plants, chionophiles, actually need a blanket of snow.
Then there is the aural quality, snow muffles sounds, makes the world more quiet, but offers great sounds at the same time if you disturb the perfect surface with walking across or through it.
On a more personal note, winter also holds the nicest clothes. I am, as everyone knowing my gallery, a huge friend of winter clothes, especially fur-trimmed ones. (Yes, I know that's a bit odd for a furry, but that's me.)
