I'm torn between Shining Armor and Sweetie Belle.
On one hand, Shining is just everything I love in a male character. He's smart, classy, devoted.... but on the other hand, Sweetie is a clean slate. She has all the potential in the world to become anything or anypony she chooses to be. That kind of raw potential is awesome.
