What a wonderful time of the year
Filled with lots of Christmas cheer!

You may even get a big present
But spending time with your family can be more pleasant

You get to sit with them and eat for a while
But one thing you should always do, is put on a big smile!

Then you can go and play in the snow
And soon after you will be all wet and cold, walking slow

Around the fire you will sit and dry
Gladly eating your warm Christmas pie

After hours of fun, Night descends
You don't want the great day to end

but it must so you go off to bed
ready to lay your little head

Smiling back at the days events
All of the wonderful sights, sounds and scents

You will look back on this day and remember
That Christmas is best spent together

Now its time for you to try and sleep
Until you run out of your many sheep
