Except he loses his godly powers when the storyline says to...against Snivy, against ANY Elite Four, etc.

I don't remember any episode where that happened. I don't think us in the UK have seen it yet. I've watched every episode of the XY series which has been shown here and the only Tyrunt I've seen was in the battle between Ash and Grant.

this is the only reference i could find so far. tyrunt is only listed as showing up in two places, an episode, and this. and i took a look at the episode, it didnt have this scene

And tyrunt is afraid of Heights so pikachu hopes in his mouth and uses thundershock to get him to jump.
