Looking Back and Looking Forward

General
It's a new year. Time for reflection and motivation. 2014 was pretty big for me. Despite spending most of my time working, I managed to accomplish some pretty great and daunting things.
I have two major achievements for 2014. The more recent was paying off my college debt half way through December. To have paid off my ~$40,000 (not including interest) in loans while only 27 years old is pretty great! I graduated May 2010, so I paid it as fast as I gained it, nearly $10,000 a year! As great as that is, I find the other accomplishment far more satisfying. This is the year I finally stepped out of the shadows and decided to become active in the furry community. I had been on this site since 2007, but it wasn't until August of 2014 that I decided to figure out what it meant to be a furry. I had always figured it was something bad, something to hide, but I grew curious. I found some local furs and decided that I'd check it out. What could be the harm? My first event was one of Nbowa's Monday night meets and I will forever be glad I went. I not only saw that furries were just regular people, but I also received my first fursuit hug thanks to Chu-tora. Seeing how well made his fursuit was also solidified my desire to get one for myself. Thanks to their push, I joined Twitter, gained a whole bunch of friends, and even attended a few cons, Furry Migration and Midwest Furfest!
Enough looking back. It's time to look forward! My New Year's resolution has multiple parts:
1. Get a job I enjoy, now that I'm debt free!
2. Hang out with friends more and make some new ones!
3. Try my hand at making myself a fursuit!
4. Start drawing again and more frequently!
