TERMS OF SERVICE
please read these terms fully before commissioning me.
ignorance is not an excuse, and you are bound to these terms regardless of if you've read them. i promise they're nothing terrible, but it's easier on the both of us if you understand how the process works.
payment, acceptance, and turnaround
• i accept either paypal or points as payment for commissions. points are always $2/200 points higher than the USD price, because of the two week clearance before it can be withdrawn. due to this i will always take preference over interested customers who wish to pay with paypal. this, however, will not affect the time it takes for your commission to be completed - just whether or not i'll take the commission if i have limited slots and other interested parties that want to pay with paypal.
• your commission will be turned down until you read my ToS. i can tell when you haven't. you're welcome to submit your commission inquiry again after you've read it.
• i require a drawn reference (preferably flatcolor, or at least with a color palette alongside so i can colorpick). i do not draw characters from descriptions or real life photos of animals. this is for my convenience as well as your satisfaction, so that i may get the character as close to what you were imagining as i can. i can draw anthro from a feral ref and vice versa, but please specify anything extra (such as hairstyle changes, body type, clothing preferences if desired, etc.)
your commission is not started until i have received payment. my commission waiting list is according to payment, not inquiry: if someone pays for their commission before you, their commission will be first in my queue, even if you contacted me with interest first.
• i have a fairly quick turnaround time of around 2 weeks, and so long as there are no setbacks your commission should take no longer than a month. if something is inhibiting my ability to complete commissions, i will inform you via note personally and often by a public journal as well.
progress shots, refunds, and edits
• for small, simple commissions (such as pagedolls) i do not offer progress shots. this is due to the fact that they are completed fairly quickly and in one sitting, and awaiting approval on a progress shot will impede workflow. for larger scale commissions such as fullbodies, i will offer a sketch progress shot by default - other progress shots, such as lining and coloring, depend on my discretion. you may request extra progress shots if you like, i don't mind sending them.
• i will not issue a full refund of a commission if i have begun the work. the amount you receive depends on how much work i have completed, as i require compensation for the work i've done if you choose to cancel. full refunds are available if i have not completed any work, but please do not commission me unless you are completely sure that you want to commission me. it will save us both a lot of time and energy. if there is an emergency that makes it difficult or impossible for me to complete your commission, i will inform you and you will have the opportunity to take a refund or wait for the commission to be finished. if you only receive a partial refund, i will send you what is completed of your commission alongside your refund.
• i only offer 3 free edits on a commission, and any later changes will bring a $3 fee per edit. however, if it is an error that is my fault (such as reading a ref sheet incorrectly) i will do the edit free of charge. i am not responsible for changes that have to be made due to incorrect information or lack of a detailed reference.
reposting and reselling
• i allow for your commission to be posted to your personal gallery as long as you credit me with a link to my gallery in the description of the image. if you are unable or unwilling to credit me, you are not permitted to repost the work.
if you later sell a character that you ordered a commission for, you are allowed to include the artwork in the sale of the character. this does not apply to gift art.
• this should go without saying, but unless you commissioned a piece of art from me, you are not permitted to use my art anywhere. if the piece belongs to you, you can crop it, edit it, whatever, just do not remove my watermark and credit me wherever you use it. otherwise, no one is to use my art for any purpose without my express permission. if you receive an incomplete piece alongside a refund, you may take your piece to another artist to complete it, but i must be credited for my part in the creation of the artwork.
• when you send me your commission information, please include the phrase "foxtrot" as proof that you've read my commission terms. you only have to do this once, so if you commission me a second time you don't have to include it.
