'My Husband's Not Gay' TV Show. >_>

Well, this is interesting: there's a new TV show going onto TLC called "My Husband's Not Gay" which is about Mormon husbands with same-sex attraction who are still married to women.
If this doesn't cause social stirring I have no idea what will.
Watch this:

(Also I was forced to watch a Spongebob ad that might be offensive to fish.)
So this is interesting.
I'm not gonna say anything about the religious aspect, because religion doesn't always fit into this topic like the individual religions' beliefs should.1 I did meet a gay person who decided to be in his relationship with his best friend once, who happened to be a woman.
So this brings up the topic of sexuality. I've noticed a trend, at least from the people that I've met, that if you're anything except hetero you're condemned to live that way, like there's no other option. And I've also met a lot of people who treat straights like they're bi or gay and need to be provoked into the deviant sexualities.
I've always advocated for the stance that people are greater than their individual parts and sexuality is just a piece. I get tired of people treating people like crap because of their sexuality, be it straight, gay, bi, or any of the deviants.
I'm still all for homosociality and heterosexuality. Just my stance, tho.
1: Being Christian and practicing homosexuality, for example, says a lot about how one views Christ's teachings. Just FYI.

Regardless, any other sexualities other than heterosexuality has been frowned upon across many cultures (NOTE: not ALL cultures) throughout. Perhaps this give them some grounds for treating others like crap. People will always look for some sort of weakness and make other people feel inferior to make themselves feel superior of sort. If, say, people who know me personally realized that I am attracted to both men and women, may be romantically (MAY BE) but not sexually, would that cause someone to change the way they treat me? I think that will be the case definitely to some people, because, to some of them, not feeling sexual attraction is also a great sin (not necessarily religious version of sin) of sort. We always like to forget that sexualities won't really matter at the end of the day once we get to know the other person. You are right, it is just a piece, but it's a sensitive piece and a piece that can be exploited a little more than anything else because it is covered by religions, social norms and such. This piece could have gotten you a free execution or senseless beating until 'straightened' out. So yeah, I guess what I am trying to say is that this indeed is a piece of someone, but also is one of the most easily exploited pieces that people use to treat others crap to make themselves feel above someone or just out of leisure. I ain't a supporter of LGBT movement or anything, but yes, this need to stop. But then, people nowadays seem to have stopped looking at the bigger picture when it comes down to people. It's sad, at least for me.
My stance regarding this issue: Do not condemn non-heterosexuals, Well, this is coming from a homosocial asexual. =P
P.S. Oh my goodness, TLC... I don't know what to say about other videos.
As I said above, I'm bisexual by attraction, straight by choice, and homosocial by choice. This earned me a LOT of hate, and that show already has a Change petition against it.
Why am I not allowed to make my own decision about my actions regarding my sexuality? Why is the hate coming from those who advocate for freedom regarding decisions about sexuality?
It looks like you missed my entire point with the second half of the post:
I'm all about equal treatment. What's interesting is that I advocate for actual equality when it applies.
I'm bi, sure. So what. I'm also white and a male. None of that means I'm forced to do anything. I'm allowed to make my own decisions about my identity, aminot?
Regardless, the whole is always greater than the parts. The second half of the post was dealing with the social stigma that if you're not straight you can't be straight by choice. I bring up the LGBT movement because in my own experience they are the ones who say "If you're gay, stay that way." I opposed that saying, "If you're anything, how you act is your choice," and I got yelled at and cussed out.
