Color, or Monochrome (black-n-white) ?

If you are opting for color, it would be a better investment to purchase a professional inkjet printer, because color laser printers aren't that great in quality in the printouts.

Go with Canon or Epson (make sure that it has 6 colors in it -- which would signify professional inkjet printer)

I just got a canon, it's wonderful (after many many hours of research, they seem to be the best bet in dependability and quality). It's an inkjet, they're definitely the way to go over laser for color. I recommend the pro series, there are 3 different models (pro-1, pro-10, pro-100).

Canon is the best choice among all, avoid HP.

Canon or Epson. Both are fantastic quality products. HP is hit or miss.

But the more ink cartridges it holds the higher the quality image it will print. And printers with individual color cartridges means you're not throwing away that's full of red and blue, but ran out of yellow.

The printer should also run you about $150 and up. Anything less than that probably won't be what you're looking for.

Mmmhm... it depends. What kind of paper are you planning to print on? Thick coated paper? Thin Matte?

Don't overlook that as it's extremely important and most people seem to ignore that and just use a thick coated paper in a printer that can't use it and end up killing it in the long run.

Personally I think that a printer that allows to print thicker papers are always the better!
