Status on Integration as of January 11th, 2015

I should have posted a journal regarding this sooner, but I'm a horrible person. I apologize.
Integration went on a hiatus in favor of a couple of other projects, both related to the universe. These projects are:
1) A one off story, currently sitting as a finished draft at 14k words.
2) A universe codex, currently sitting at about 17k words, and is not yet even considered a draft just yet.
These two projects have a few purposes. They will be shared with you all for your enjoyment at some point. (I don't give ETAs) The codex gives me more solid material to work with, as I didn't plan a thing when starting this. They are also serving as a break from Integration and allowing me to fill in information about the universe I've failed to convey. Even the story does this. It's practically an info dump disguised as a story.
Now, as for Integration itself... there is a distinct possibility that part ten may be considered the end of this part of Dylan and Kira's time together. I've thought about and discussed this with friends/readers that come to the IRC, and while I've made no final decisions, it is a possibility. These two projects should allow me the time away I need to take a look back at Integration and hopefully see exactly what I want to do with it. There are absolutely no guarantees on what's going to happen now. It's all up in the air as of right now. I may continue, I may skip ahead to a different time in their story, I may crack at it with a giant editing stick in preparation for publishing, (Wouldn't that be great if it made it?!) or any other wild idea I may come up with. Who knows.
I do apologize for saying, when I posted part ten, that I did not want to end it there. I don't, really, but the writer in me says I risk dragging out a good thing, after a satisfying ending. You are all welcome to share your thoughts on this matter. :)

And... your mention of when the species have integrated fully reminds me that I have neglected to inform my FA readers of a friend of mine writing some stuff in my universe! I must make a new journal at once!
However, whether or not Dylan and Kira's story is over, I hope there's some type of sequel of some sort that has some connection to their story.
Whatever choice you make, I'll still enjoy your work either way.
But, it seems like everyone that reads this are all awesome folks like you, so at least I can be confident that they'll enjoy it even if that did happen! :D
I suppose there is at least some hope to see their story continue since nothing is set in stone yet, so I'll just throw another vote in its favor.
But, as amusing as that idea may be, I don't think it's actually likely. Also, a sissach would be quite the trip to play out, but would be unwise to introduce as a guardian just yet, I think. :)
