I owe you lot an explanation.

Heya folks. Once again, I've failed to update Integration in a timely manner. I'm sorry... but I think it's about time I divulge to the lot of you just what's taken my attention off of it so heavily.
In March 2015, I started on an endeavor. I wanted to learn to draw. A few months in, quite happy with my progress, I decided to go back to school for art. I'm a university drop out, formerly Criminal Justice and a slew of other things I briefly dabbled in, desperate to find something that would spark my interest for school. So, me wanting to go back to school... this was big. It was only my old Community College, but these past two semesters I had an absolute blast and for the first time in my life I've been a straight A student. It's consumed a lot of my creative energy.
I've taken a smattering of drawing classes - Basic Design, Beginner Drawing, Intermediate drawing, and a couple other classes like Graphic Design, which have been just as exciting. Next up on my platter over the next two semesters, plus the summer, are three Advanced Drawing classes and Digital Illustration along with a few more classes like photography and graphic design.
It's hard to say where my skill will be this time next year. With any hope, I'll be posting furry art by then. I've drawn some furry stuff, but nothing I'm willing to share just yet. And I'd rather do digital, and eventually coloring. Those two have been hard to work with for me, but hopefully that will change by next year.
But it looks good. I have been fantastically pleased with my progress. It's been much more than I thought it would be. So, I'll share some with you good folks, a bit of proof behind these babbles if you're interested.

I know it's nothing like what you're used to seeing on this website, but I'm happy with what I have and am eager to see what more will come once I work more in the digital medium.
So, this all has been sapping Integration out of me, but, I'm looking to get another chapter out this summer. It's proving tough... admittedly, the story has gone into a bad place, somewhere I'm having trouble writing out of. I'm sure many of you noticed the storytelling in Part 12 was fairly... forced. I see many problems I would surely need to fix, if I were to rewrite.
Now, finally, I want to give a shout out to a good friend of mine,
Wyldsyde. Wyld helped me through the first fragile stages of learning to draw, and has been pushing me, helping me, and encouraging me all the way to where I am at now, and shows no signs of stopping. Without Wyld...
Well, without Wyld Integration would probably be done by now! Argh! WYLD!

But we will be getting a new writer/artist combo, which is always a great thing. Not many writers can illustrate their own works too. Just like not many artists can write worth a lick. I for one look very forward to seeing Hetz illustrate his first chapter in Integration... or whatever else he chooses to.
Those thinking men looks awesome.
Good luck continue drawing and looking forward hearing more from you
You shouldn´t do anything against yourself .
I started with this book here: https://www.amazon.com/You-Can-Draw...../dp/0738212415
It assumed I knew nothing, as opposed to most other beginner books. It set me up with the foundation I needed and I'd recommend it to anyone that thinks they're hopeless. I just wish the title was different... it sounds so comically snake oily.
But, the gist of improving as a beginner is, actually, drawing realistically at first. Note: TRYING to draw realistically. However I found that book absurdly helpful in that it showed me the fundamentals in a very simple way before I went realistic with classes. Simple shading, showing depth... a big part of learning to draw is the way you see things eventually changes. Shading and how things show depth become a lot more apparent.
Not trying to get you to draw... just want you to know it's not because you're hopeless. It's just the way it is at the beginning for us adults. :)

Also, thank you Wyld for helping him!
The story, though... I do sorely need to continue. It's been a case of just not working on it, and the bind with the plot isn't helping. Still, it needs to be finished and I am certain once I get the flow going, it'll be easier. Right now I'm knee deep in rust.
You can take as long as you think you need. You don't owe any of us anything. Just glad you didn't give up!
...Well anyways, I think it is wonderful that you are trying to better yourself like this, and I am so glad to hear, and see, that you have been making progress. :3 I vaguely recall some of your stuff from when you first started that book, and man you have come SO far! It's really cool to see how much progress you have made in a year. I bet in another year you will be an amazing addition to the lineup of great macrofur artists out there. Just got to keep dedicated, and it seems like you have no problem with that. :3
Happy to hear from you too. :3 I had two really tough semesters so I kinda dropped out of the community for a while and you were one of the faces I saw the least of. Nice to know all is well!
Man I need to get back to that book. I got up to lesson four, taking about 2 days for each lesson (one for the normal lesson, one for the bonus lesson at the end), but then I started school again and had trouble finding the time. It's summer now though! Gunna really try to write and draw around my job search. I took my very first ever art class of my own last semester, intro to computer art, and while I sucked ass compared to the rest of the class it was a lot of fun, and I am debating uploading the shitty final project I am slightly proud of. X3 I hope I can take more art classes in the future if I can fit them into my schedule. There is just something that feels great about bringing an idea in your head to life...
You gunna take this Art School thang up to the university level in a year or so? :3
As for your schooling and drawing... I will continually insist the book is a great thing to start from if you can't even draw a cube without deliberation on the machinations of a cube, but if you've taken an art class... it could be invalid by now. Terribly curious about your Intro to Computer Art class, we should talk about it sometime. I'll be taking Digital Illustration in the Spring, myself. I still go to IRC, just don't really do anything in the public chats. Christy can vouch for me!
Still, you can probably get just as good of a program at a state university, and will get a more well rounded education. :3 Is probably a better and cheaper option! Not as fancy, butt steel.
Now see... University would be well rounded, but that rounding might tick me off after all my years of faffing around in school, heh. But, art might keep me going. It'd also probably be way less draining and life consuming than art school with a schedule full of art classes...
