Not quite! Singlish is almost a dialect on its own, so to speak.

Lots of "Lah"s and "Leh"s and bits of other languages thrown in.

For example I was rather concerned because when driving with someone yesterday they said on the phone to the person we were picking up, "I forgot how to turn lah." right as we were speeding for a corner.

Apparently that means, "I forgot how to get to where you are."

Mildly concerning to say the least.
