Thing is; I found a 1950 Ford Dually in better shape for about the same price. Flatbed.

Decisions decisions. On that point I found an 87 SS Montecarlo in much better shape than mine for $900 on ebay in New Jersey and the shipping cost was about the same price. My brain and hand were arguing about just whipping out my credit card right there.

Personally I would go for the panel truck but I've always liked those so my opinion is skewed a bit.

The panel truck is about and hour and a half away as the Dually is about 10-15 minutes. The true fun will be upgrading the wiring from 6V to 12V.
