So two days ago I was working on my sisters doll that I was planning on giving her as a gift, holding a pin in my teeth I started to do my last stitches when whoops! I had stabbed myself causing me to gasp suddenly and pull the pin back into my mouth, panicking I tried not to swallow, but alas I did.
One hospital trip, x ray and doctor telling me to sift through poo because its going to pass later I go to sleep feeling alright.
The next morning I wake up and go about my day when I feel this sudden pain then ace.. I needed to go to the hospital, My step father took my kids (and puppy) and off I went!
After hours of waiting I finally got another xray. I go to sit down and someone comes up to me explaining hers a surgeon, and he asks what happened and my medical history. Another guy comes up and he explains the pin is stuck in my stomach and they need to scope it out. goodie... im alone and about to have my first surgery.. Matt was working and my mother was on her way. The doctor was scared I was freaking out and showed me a picture of a nail, he told he that it was inside a guy and not to worry! I got prepped for the scope and moved. I cried the whole time, I didn't want to be alone. My mum arrived with enough time to hug me and shoved out the door. I was drugged and woke up just as the operation was ending, the scope was still in when I came to, and I threw up! after ending the scope, I cried again wishing to go home to my children. I was told to wait 4-6 hours but still worried if I could nurse.. I can! I was given my pin back, had icewater, and sent home within the hour. Im very sore in my chest, back and throte but glad it came out!
it was funny though every time I told my story everyone said they either do a similar thing or have the same worry,
so for all you doll makin' watchers I have.. DO NOT HOLD THE PIN IN YOUR TEETH!
