how were you introduced into the furry fandom?

I happened upon furry fandom itself as a teenager when I came across a site for furry teens new to the fandom. Back then around 15 or 16 I was a coyote as my species long before I knew any other furs. At the time I also lived in Texas. I was first exposed to furry art ;p of the adult variety before that time xD but I didnt know what furry was called when I was 12 years old, I originally also heavily identified with fox anthros but didnt make them a character at first, I did later on however when I became a fox named 'Theta' later on around the year 2010. That character eventually became more of a personal totem.

I was a furry long before I knew what FA was; don't think I was ever fully introduced to this portion of the fandom until about 2009 when I made my first account

What is the most awkward position you've gotten yourself into? (Sexual or otherwise)

Several xD No idea where to start but...

non-sexual:

I got so FUCKING drunk at a con once and at the time, I was taking b vitamins to keep myself awake and full of energy (not knowing they have a deadly reaction with booze) so then next thing I know i'm spilling booze on someones computer like an idiot, then getting dragged off nearly dead, puking on hotel floors before eventually getting taken into someones room where I woke up just fine without a hangover early in the morning.

It was awkward or humiliating thing for me...knowing I had made such a scene so I know better for future reference xD


sexual:

Most awkward sexual situation would likely be...I was once getting sucked off by a friend and had the intuition it was time to stop and get my pants back on..ok...

just on time..10 seconds after i'm fully clothed again another friend of mine opens the door, not knowing anything we were just doing. This is also possibly not the only time that has happened either so...that is all i'm gonna say xD close calls, and will likely not be putting myself in any situations of that sort again if I can help it lol.

What do you enjoy about the furry fandom, and what don't you enjoy?

I enjoy everything about the fandom, the social factor, the creative expression different people are free to have in their own ways, and the other worlds that are made manifest as a result for all to see. Both sexual and non sexual are equally powerful expressions of unique originality to me. Even if not all art I see is for me personally, the freedom expressed to create art , music, writing, in any form, always has my respect and in furry its sort of an open source world of expression.

What I don't like? People that are speciests, rude, hateful, etc. Basically just dickish people in general as i'd be expected to not like outside of furry life as well.

wow. that sounds like how I was introduced. sweet, glad I'm not the only one who got introduced to those adult animal arts lol
