[Please go help my friend out!! He's a great artist and needs the help http://www.furaffinity.net/user/shingekiskunk/]
Hey Guys, I know it's been a while... sorry about that. Life's been busy for the most part... more so stressful than anything as of late. Anyway, let’s start with the good news! I'm opening up for 2-3 trial painting commission slots. That's 20-25$ base price, more depending on backgrounds/other characters. If I get a lot of inquiries, I'll try to think of a 'fair' way to decide who I'm drawing for, but I'm more than likely to go first come first serve. I hate to ask it, but I'm going to need the money sort of upfront. I'll try to get an approval sketch out to any commissioners before asking for money, but I need the money fast. I need to get at least 50 by this weekend, as I'm going to apply to go to the Penland School of Crafts during the summer, and the deadline is coming quick! If you have any questions, concerns, or just want to say hi, comment bellow or note me!
Now... the bad news, skip this if you don't care or want to hear about life problems.
I'm currently 'enrolled' in school, but my college has decided that I don't have financial aid. They decided to tell me this 2 days before the start of my last semester of classes. Things have been... stressful to say the least. I've been running around like a chicken without a head trying to find out why I'm put on hold, and what I can do to afford this semester. Sadly almost everything has come up as nothing. I'm trying for some private loans, but my family’s credit isn't the best, so I'm not too hopeful on it. That really leaves me with two options. Option A: quit. I refuse to do it, but it is an option. Now, you might be thinking "Why not just wait a semester or something?" This college is going downhill fast. Just in-between the last semester and this one, we've lost two art professors, let alone a huge cut in staff. They're prioritizing the wrong things, and in general killing off the place. So… I don't know if this place will have an Art, Design, and Marketing course, let alone have the materials to allow me to do the things that I've spent the last 2 or so years growing and perfecting. That really leaves Option B, Gofundme. I'm working on the site, not sure when it’ll go live, but this is my last chance. I hate asking for money from anyone, but I have to. I've already got 'rewards' planned out for certain amounts donated, as well as a neat idea that might end up being a piece in my senior exhibition that ties into this campaign.
So, not only do I have the stress to succeed in school, put together a display worthy art exhibition, but I've got to fight my school just to be here. I know I'm quiet, hardly post, but things have been hard as of late. I've been either 100% on my show, or trying to ignore everything so that I don't fall into a depression...
Anyway, I'm planning to work on commissions and the like at least on Sundays, and Saturdays if I have them available. If you commission me, please give me some time, as I am putting school before everything else. If I have to leave this place, I want to spend as much time working on what I want to do before then.
