to my friends: About that 'thing' that happened

This is to you guys and gals who know about that event that happened last week. If you know about it, awesome. If you don't, don't fuss over this too very much.
I just wanted to put a short little note out there: Thank you for pointing out to me things that are being discussed or happening in regards to that, but really, I'm happier not seeing or reading about it.
What happened, happened. They can deal with the fallout of their actions. They made something that was at least semi-private into a public spectacle, when it didn't need to be. I said what I needed to on that piece in particular, and received the answer I figured I was going to. At that point, to me, it was done.
This whole thing was 'over' back in October 2013, which if you look at the calendar was about 15 months ago. At this point, it is a waste of time to keep focusing on it; it's certainly a waste of time to 'fight' against it. and I mean that for everyone involved.
Why they felt like it needed to be done NOW, and in the way they did, I will never understand. But that's okay: it was their choice to make, they made it.
There's a tumblr post I was directed towards, where they responded to someone talking about how 'tired' they were about the assumptions other folks are making. That's unfortunately part of it, because something that most folks weren't aware of was made public, and they're only given a few choice images to make ideals off of.
I talked about this thing with a few of my closer friends, and that was it. I moved on. Whatever happens on from this point, I've no interest in it.
So thank you, for anyone who was concerned for me, or wanted to point things out to me and so forth. But really, there's nothing else for me to say on the matter. I already said to them what I wanted to, and at this point I'm little more a spectator looking in.
