Please, please, please. Remove all personal data and files from your technology before recycling or disposing of it. I tend to find old laptops and things (a tablet this week) at the local recycling center that still have saved logins and other personal information stored on them. At least wipe the hard drive, if not remove it. You can google how to do a factory reset or remove parts on just about anything these days and find a youtube video to show you how.

I have twice so far found tax records, with names, adresses, SSNs and other very sensitive information on computers that were being disposed of. I wipe all the data, but if I were a less honest person, there is a lot I could do with that!
