What got you into writing? Like, when was it that you decided you wanted to write as a hobby?

My older sister, unknowingly, got me into writing. My mom was known for keeping treasured keepsakes that we made in our childhood and one thing she had was a "book" my sister made out of notebook paper and yarn titled "Bad Babysitter's Club" X3 Each chapter was half a page long and had a cute illustration at the bottom. For her sake, I won't mention the silliness I read but one chapter I did like was where these babysitters take care of an alien baby from Mars.

I gave it a try myself, writing little life lesson stories that was a combo of Shirt Tales and Care Bears (actually based them on my second nephew's teddy bear baby mobile). As I grew older and got into cartoons/anime, comics/manga, and video games and read or listened to interviews from artists/writers behind my favorite fandoms (Just naming a few: Shigeru Miyamoto, Hayao Miyazaki, Stan Sakai, Christian and Yvon Tremblay, Akira Toriyama, Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman, Yoshihiro Togashi...the list is longer, just can't think right now), I started to get more ideas and they started to mature into stuff I'm currently writing now and attempting to get published.

Interesting! I know a lot of writers get into it simply because they had to do it in school growing up, and found out they enjoyed it, where others hated it.

I'm surprised I'm still writing cause the school system here, second strike is writing pages and you wrote how many depending on how bad what ever you did was: 5, 10, 20. It even got my mom doing it!

Really? I had sort of the same thing, only it was something much more boring, like writing every number up to 500, or writing out multiplication tables.
