My only issue with ShinMagamiTensei games....when it comes down to the meat of the game and its extra challenges and Side Quests, the game is VERY challenging. And I hate that 2 of my friends over here that love persona are more adapted and used to ShinMegamiTensei games so they can figure out what to do and make stratagies.
I struggle with these game shalf way through cause they get so hard Hahaha.
And the time management and limitations they giv eyou make it tha tmuch harder: P3 Fatige System where after a set amount of battle they get tiered, hit rates decrease, and crt damage against you and falling increases. Or P4, you have X amount of time to do your tasks, and if you are unprepared you get bodied or loose more time re-preparing and dealing with other tasks like school and Social Links


I LOVE persona, jus that ethat Im kind of a winp and suck at it. XD

It's anything but easy and going in mindlessly will get you slaughtered. There are harder SMT games for sure and PQ's removal of any sort of time cap simplifies it immensely. Still a tough game.

I love it, but by the 3rd floor on the FIRST DUNGEON im just getting bodied. And it feels like all the time Im spending grinding is literally doing nothing.
But Im finding I definatly need to change my mindset with these games, because there really is alot more strategy to them, I need more Buff and Debuffing skills and create more balanced teams.

I try to go in with hard hitter and 2 healers. Which works for a while, but then when status ailments come into play, thats when I start to get hammered.

Nah, your party has to entirely work off of itself. There are strong party members but grabbing all the strongest doesn't work. A good example is grabbing shinji, aki and kanji for front row. All powerful but if you swap for junpei over one and phys link like an MFer then you're boosting damage massively. P3 MC uses melee range but his melee growth is trash, shove him in the back instead because his magic is high tier. It's the littlest of things that help your party work so much better.
