That said, the whole furry gay thing always interested me.

It kinda all goes back to Kinsey and his notion that very few people are exclusively gay, straight, or bisexual (i.e. an absolute bisexual who is just as comfortable with women as with men). Kinsey's studies and ideas showed that people are most often a combination of multiple sexual orientations: someone who is predominantly heterosexual can have incidental or *more than incidental* homosexual inclinations and vice-versa.

In a way I think people on FA are significantly more complex in their sexual orientation than is usually acceptable in society as a whole. It feels to me that in many places, you are expected to go into the "gay" or "straight" camp and stay there, without much acknowledgment of the nuances of human sexuality.
