Bacterial Infection

Yesterday morning, I woke up to what I assumed was a sinus infection. My throat was sore, and mucus was sitting in my throat. I took some allergy medicine and went about my day. I drank herbal tea, and took some blood cleansers and vitamins in the afternoon when I noticed that it was still there, though not as bad as it was earlier that morning.
In the evening, I started to feel a little better, but signs of a sinus infection were still there (headache, sore throat, itchy ears), so I took some Tylenol cold and sinus and went out for a while with my friends.
When I returned home, I felt awful. My body, from my head to my feet (especially through my lower back and legs) were aching terribly. I knew something wasn't right and I needed to see the doctor first thing in the morning.
Today, I made an appointment and got right in. After a few blood tests and throat swabs, they discovered that I have a bacterial infection. My white cell count is sky high and I have a fever..this hasn't happened since I was seven years old, before I had my tonsils removed..back when they thought I had leukemia (it runs in my family)
The doctor...ugh...she was awful. Not only did she not answer the questions I had for her, but she almost injected me with Penicillin!!! I'm DEATHLY allergic to Penicillin..which only told me that she didn't check the chart before coming in to check on me..Thankfully, I always ask questions before any foreign substance is placed/injected/etc. into my body.
I'm home now, but extremely tired and very sore. That being said, commissions will be placed on hold for probably a week, or however long it takes me to fully recover. I'm very contagious right now, so working with fursuits is something that I need to stay far away from.
Thanks for reading, I'm going to sleep...

(And glad you asked about the penicillin thing! That's really not good! I've had doctors do something similar like that with my brother who can't have it either. *shakes head* Or the one doc that told me to take sinus decongestant and gave me a Z-pack to clear up a sinus infection that nearly cost me my throat being closed and unable to breathe because the medicines are a huge no-no together--as told to me by a different doctor that I went to a couple of days after doing what the first told me to do. O____O)
I hope you feel better soon!
Thankfully my fever broke this morning and I'm feeling much better than the other day!
I'm staying well hydrated (I have at least twelve different types of fruit juices in the fridge and two big cases of water beside it...not to mention herbal teas, lol) and my diet continues to stay very healthy :)
Thank you
