It's a really mixed bag, that page. I usually tend to avoid it, if said artists are on DeviantArt, FA or Weasyl instead.

As a watcher I used to check the site out daily, but when I found FA I checked it out less and less. By the time I started doing my writing and had found Weasyl as an alternative I rarely go to HF. Maybe once every month or so. I've never bothered making an HF account either.

I have an account there, but rarely upload at this time. It's possibly gets the fourth lowest amount of traffic for me, only getting slightly more traffic that my weasly site but well below FA, DA and IB.

I rarely visit it now. It has some decent artists on there, but not much outside of that.

They are so f-ing picky on their anatomy and such, that out of 40 picks I tried to upload on there, only 8 made it in :\

I'm aware of their quality control, pieces requiring approval. I don't exactly mind that idea as much as I mind the apparent inconsistency they seem to have about what makes it in, sometimes. I didn't know about only being allowed to post 3 pieces a day, but I don't see that being much of an issue either.

This inconsistency is pretty much why I decided to stop trying to post there. Even when you get rejected, it's not clear why. For me at least, it's just a simple "Rejected due to anatomy."

I use it, and it's not as active as one would expect because there's a four picture daily limit on uploads.

As others have said the community is bleh and it gets less traffic, but so far I've had more commissions from there, so that's why I keep up with it. Don't know how common that is for others.

they got rid of the loli content for decent reasons and there's a futa contest going on now, so uploads are decent speed. then again, it all depends on the artists you follow there

I check it usually once a day, and as someone said above, lots of people got turned off when they started outlawing loli content. Most of the shit is based around Patreon now, and it's justified, but really ruining the flow of things, when most people hold off on uploading for X amount of months unless you're paying them on Patreon.

I'm on hentai foundry, but meh, the content there is definitely not as awesome or as frequent as it is here. XD

I use it frequently, and as nice as the people at FA here are for me I get more reactions to my work over there. I don't upload a lot in a single day so the post number restriction has never been a barrier. Once you make it to auto approve you're doing alright. There's something of a point system the exists behind the scenes to determine this.

Sometimes peoples work gets rejected for things they're not paying attention to, and assume its for the quality of their work. Image size, file size, file type, and so on are all things that muck this up a bit. Just be aware of it and it should be alright.

The site has slowed down lately, but that's actually because many of the artists who relied on HF to get their work seen and commissioned do to more have found alternative models to do this. Many of them have turned to Patreon while others have just formed their own sites or joined with others who have done the same. It happens every so often where things drop off, then comes a new crop of artists who are on the rise.

I'd say its worth your time to have a gallery there even if you don't update it as much as this one.

Another thing to note, I much prefer FA's system of getting updates. On HF, almost everything, like getting comments, getting artist updates, are done through email. This gets extremely annoying since your inbox can get flooded.

I am still subbed to some artists on there, but once they banned any and all underaged content, and then never went about enforcing it for some and enforcing it on anyone not popular, I kinda quit visiting.

Cant stand that place. one because you HAVE to have colored pics, two because im all against pedos but banning non real drawn pics of situations like that is a low scared ass move. its because of caving in like that that congress is considering having people convicted for drawing things. sick.
