My advice to you is just simply go through legal channels and cut out the middle man. In the end you have tried being civil and it did not work. Now it is time to be decisive sign you tried being civil and nice and that failed you have no reason to keep doing that.

So I guess I am going to throw this out here, that way so everyone knows who is reading this journal, that I am trying my best here, because apparently, a few unmentionables are trying to give me a bad name in the fandom, and I will not stand for it. A year and a half ago, I borrowed a sum of 1500 dollars from Whisker-ama, this was in the downside of my life, because I couldn't find a job, I couldn't pay rent, I needed to pay bills. He helped me, and I thanked him generously. About 3 months ago I got a job, a decent paying one, and since then, he has done nothing but harass me about money while I'm still trying to get my life in order to where I can pay back my debts. This whole situation started because i was supposed to give him 100 bucks this month for his convention. I had every intention of doing it, in fact, I was gonna give him 200, and then someone broke our door down trying to rob the place. When this happened, I called the cops. The guy ran off, and still has not been caught. But I had to replace our door, but because we live in a hick town, where prices are sky rocketed, I had to pay 300 dollars to replace the door and get the molding fixed, and the work involved, when I told Whisker this, he went off on me, and treated me like the dirt under his feet because of this situation and me owing him money. Now, he wants to make this a legal matter, and he shouldn't, fact of the matter is, something bad happened, and he can't get his money this month. and when I say a sum of 1500, it means in intervals when he helped, he did not help all at once.

Well honestly it sounds very cold but look at it this way. Suppose that you owed this money to a company or business. They would simply not care that you have had bad luck and while you may be trying to get your life back in order after getting a better job well the fact remains a debt is a debt. Most people would want interest as well if payments are late but in this case seems all he wants is the debt paid and over with. In the end the money is owed and it is the person who is within the owed persons right to demand payment or compensation. My recommendation is to talk about it and try and set up a contract on it or something for a minimum payment each month cause at this rate well if payments aren't rendered again its within his right to seek help from debt collection agencies and such. Also in the future I would be sure to not borrow so much in the future cause if bad shit happens it can be very hard to pay people back and can lead to these levels of issues.
