to be fair $500 doesnt really pay every single bill and an artist is allowed to charge as much as they like for their work
its not like theyre forcing you to buy it

for some artists jobs are really tricky to come by and commissions are all they got

Oh no, I'm meaning those that buy it. I'm not talking about the artist that sells them.

There was one person I watched buy an adopt that was literally just a cat with a bow for $300 then posted the next day how broke they really were and got upset that they couldn't sell it for the same price.

To me, you're just buying the rights to draw it. That's just me. I wouldn't spend over $40 at most for an adopt. I can understand closed species but when it's something you can just draw yourself, I just don't see the point. Again, that is just me.

This is mainly geared towards those who buy high price adopts then make journals about how they're broke and need to pay bills.

I'm not angry it just baffles me sometimes~
