Omg I am so so sorry! Losing a pet is the hardest thing any owner will ever have to go through, but the amount of joy the bring us during their short lives, far outweighs the heart break at the end. Which is why we keep doing it. For the love, compassion, and friendship that comes along with owning a dog. Just remember he'll be waiting at the rainbow bridge for you.

I just never thought it'd hurt this much. I've lost family, I've lost friends, It all hurt but I can't help but to feel like this is hurting me the most and I can't understand why.

But thank you for your words, they helped quiet a bit.

I've lost family too, and its not as bad as losing a pet. Humans understand, they leave us knowing what is happening. Animals do not. They don't know why they hurt, they don't understand death, they just want to live every day to the fullest. We as humans, try to make it easier for them, comforting them, administering medications to help ease their pain. In the end it is never long enough. Our hearts are held together by the pieces of our pets from the past to the present. One will truly never understand love until they've loved a pet. Find peace in knowing that Jakie lived every single day to the best that he could, if you could do the same with half the effort, you would live a more full life than 90% of the rest of the human race.

Grieving takes time. But it will heal. In time.
