Debug (2014). Directed by one of my fave actors, David Hewlett (and he does a better job than most actors-who-try-to-direct). About a team of cyber criminals on a work release program, trying to fix the software on a derelict space ship...but the ship's AI has other plans for them. I didn't expect much from this one, so it was a pleasant surprise for me. Also, if you're a Stargate Atlantis fan, keep an eye out for fellow alum actor Jason Momoa. Disclaimer: David Hewlett does not actually appear in this film. But his son does.

I watched Debug this evening, and I approve. You win the film recommendation game. The plot was quite simple, but competently implemented, and the end result is fun.

It reminded me of another film, the 2009 German language film 'Cargo'. Ever seen it? If not I'll recommend that in return. It's got a similar theme of the conflict for control of a vast, isolated spaceship, set in a fairly realistic plausible future.

Moon was a fantastic sci fi film

Indeed it was. I've seen it many times. I've always loved the way they handled the base AI, from the design of its 'body', to the way they play on your expectations.

Wasn't in the mood to see it again today, but it's an excellent film.

Run Lola Run is an interesting artsy flick with some classic German techno, if you don't mind foreign films.

I recommend watching with subs though. The English dub is awful.

I have seen that one actually! I had to double check because I wasn't sure about the title, but there's no mistaking that plot summary. That one was odd... Interesting and entertaining, but odd.

Another Earth, while it has scientific postulation, is more drama than most sci-fi. Let me see... Moon was already mentioned so, how about an older show called Andromeda?

That first one is the best but nearly all the Sean Connery Bond films are good.

Kingsman. Enjoyable movie. If you enjoyed Kick-Ass one or two then this might be perfect. Just a thought.
