RIP, Mr. Spock
10 years ago
Leonard Nimoy passed away today. He will be sorely missed. Probably my first real connection with his voice outside a Star Trek context was going to the Boston Science Museum as a kid. The opening test sequence for the Omni theater there is voiced by Leonard Nimoy. Or at least, it was when I was little. I still remember one of the anonymous tech-voices asking "Is that Leonard Nimoy?" And him responding "He grew up six blocks from here." I don't know why that always stuck with me, but it did.

...And when I first went to post this article, my iTunes started playing the Amazing Grace bagpipe track from Spock's funeral in Wrath of Khan. Well then. o_o;
I feel like I need to do some ToS themed art in tribute. Maybe art cards for this evening's stream. I'll keep folks posted if I come up with something.
