So anthro new england 2015 is a mixed bag. The hotel car garage had a roof collapse, meaning that we ended up spending four hours getting parking (until we were able to get a spot when the business men cleared out). The con is small- only about 500 people- and a little claustrophobic. Its fun, there is no questioning that- I saw a lot of friends, and bought some art from artists I admire- but unlike Furpocalypse, there isn't anywhere to go if i start to feel frazzled, aside from my hotel room. The game rooms and the zoo are small, and there are no out-of-the-way spots to hang out. So I did end up spending a fair amount of time in my hotel room getting away from the crowd, as I am doing this very moment.

The con has potential, but it has a lot of downsides- small size and an expensive hotel being two of them. Other things like the bone-chilling weather and the frustrations caused by the roof collapse were beyond their control, but sullied my first experience at this con
