The first day of the rest of my life.
Or at least of the next few months. I started p90x today. I'm doing the lean track, which is more cardio/aerobic intensive, since I have some fat to burn before I start building muscle. Also, I've been a bit of a couch potato recently, so my endurance could use a boost. I want to use these journals to keep me on track; if you guys are here to keep me honest, I'm more likely to keep at it. Once it becomes a habit to work out after I get home from work, it won't be so bad. It just takes a while to change the routine. For now, I feel great! But, I know from experience that my arms and legs are telling me that they are going to be sore tomorrow. I did the yoga video on Thursday, so at least I didn't start off suddenly.
Today was core, which I actually love. My core muscles are my strongest by far, and a lot of the things you do in that video are synergistic, meaning they are natural-seeming movements that work large groups of muscles instead of just focusing on one set. The hour went pretty quickly, and I finished feeling energized. I was even able to do the advanced moves on a couple of the exercises, which made me happy.
BUUUT, that's enough about me. I want to learn more about you guys. Are any of you in a fitness program right now? Have any of you done this program specifically? Let me know; I would love to feel like part of a fitness community.
