Clawcast often had insightful discussion and interviews, good production values and a solid agenda for each episode - 25 minutes dedicated to random discussion and furry news, 25 minutes dedicated to the on-topic discussion. That sort of "professional" approach puts it above some of the other furry podcasts I've listened to, which run for anywhere between 1.5 hours and 3 hours episode to episode (!), have no real agenda for each episode, and sound as though they have been recorded in the kitchen.
I think Clawcast was at its strongest in the early days when people could "phone in" with commentary by leaving a message on their Skype voicemail or leaving a comment on the forums; Its editing seemed to be at its punchiest and tightest then.
In the later days Clawcast finally adopted the "live" phone-in format they had stated as the originally intended format for the show, but I think the show was worse for it... Looser editing, etc.
But my all time favourite podcast is Geek Nights (www.frontrowcrew.com) - these guys have such enthusaism and rapport that they're always fun to listen to. They did a show on underwear once. Underwear! It was brilliant.
Also if you're into video games, Weekly Geek and Australian Gamer rocks.
If you like animation ReAnimators podcast and and the Animation Podcast also rock.
