i almost died heck yeah! (what happened 3 days ago)

JK NOT HECK YEAH.
I just got out of the hospital due to the fact that I was in a horrible car accident. Let me tell you my dear friends, it was not fun and one of the most terrifying moments of my life.
Story time:
Thursday. My friends birthday is today and we rented a cabin on the lake. I was so excited to celebrate and have one of those great unforgettable spring break college nights! I had just spent the whole morning with my ex whom I had recently reconnected with. It was a perfect morning filled with fun and excitement and gathering presents for my best friend because I love her. My ex leaves to meet up with some of his friends and I went on my merry way to gather up some of my other friends to finally head out to the lake. I pick up one of my friends and we go pick up some lunch.
I get a text.
"Please go pick up the volleyball from my house"
Wtf no. That's out of the way and I'd be wasting my gas and time.
Begging insists. Are fucking serious ? Fine I'll go pick up the stupid fucking thing. But only because its your birthday and I don't want to be a bitch. You win this time but I'm pissed about it.
I turn around and get the ball just fine. She better love me to death for this!! Angel and I leave to go pick up our other friend with the cake and finally leave for the lake. All is well again and I'm still super happy and excited. We we're laughing and sipping our drinks and enjoying our windows down in the amazing weather.
Finally we're almost to my friends house. We stop at a red light with another car in front of us. A song I really liked came on the radio and I turned to angel who was dancing and I decided to take a sip of my drink while we were still stopped.
Out of nowhere my head was being slammed against my steering wheel. It was so loud and I could barely see or think. In a split second we we're hurled forward into the car stopped in front of us with so much force. The air bags came out and smacked me hard in the face and slammed my head backwards into the chair with enough force to make my head ricochet back and slam my face into the dash again. Finally every thing stopped moving. My large drink of blue poweraid had exploded within my hands and the contents had now cover my entire front seat and myself. Everything was smoking and dusty and I could smell and the blood in my face. I couldn't feel anything. My whole face and front side of my body was completely numb.
Angel looked at me and I looked him and he started panicking. "Oh my god oh my god are you okay?"
"I can't feel my face or neck, are you okay?"
He got out of the car to get me out. An ambulance just happened to be driving by at that exact time. Angel opened the door and I took off my seatbelt and fell out of the car. I only got a glimpse of the car behind me and I was so fucking angry that I wanted to get out I fucking destroy the stupid bitch that slammed into me but I couldn't move.
The paramedics came up and started asking me questions and apparently I was bleeding all over myself but since it was on my neck I couldn't see it. They took me away in the ambulance and I pretty much cried the whole time because they made me leave angel behind and I had no idea what was going on and I knew I was going to miss the party and I was in a ton of pain.
Apparently some teenage girl was texting and driving with her mom in the car and no one was paying attention and the SUV slammed into my stopped vw bug going 40mph . From the sheer force , my seatbelt had cut into my shoulder and neck and the airbag had busted up my face when we made impact with the car in front of me . I almost died and there was nothing I could have done to prevent it because someone else was being so careless and ignorant. In these situations you don't have time for your life to flash before your eyes, you just go out like a light. And I have never been made more aware of how fragile my body truly is. The most upsetting part is the cops didn't even give the girl a ticket for being so negligent. And if I could I would find that girl and beat her face into a pulp. She should have been to one to go to the hospital.
I'm doing just fine now other than being at stoplight makes me feel fucking sick and my neck is skinned and my face is black and blue . But whatever. I'm so utterly thankful to still be alive.
My poor car is totaled though and now I'm unsure of how I'll make it to college tomorrow.

Even with 3 eye witnesses saying they seen the girl on her phone.
The cop still refused to take any action , because the girl came from a rich family and their taxes pretty much pays the cops salary. So they can get away with whatever. Its ridiculous.

or any kind of justice. well i guess her insurance company did pay for my new car. i hope her insurance rates went up unreasonably and she winces every month at her bill. although with my luck she probably never even sees the bills because her parents pay for her.
karma will come her way one way or another.
