... When the parents are informed of the hobby/lifestyle.
Apparently my mother has been watching Dr.Phil and calls me going 'Do you know what furries are.'
I'm brushing my teeth and simply shrugs as i don't know if i can bother to go into stuff...
She keeps going on with how she saw some chick(it was a dude) in a dog costume. (wich was made out of paper... Fuck you media.) and said how hillarious the furryfandom it was.
I simply shrug again and go "So.. You never made any connections between that and the wolf-suit i'm getting? Nor the art i got."
*quiet*
"Yeah- I'm a fur. But what you've seen is some twisted crap media has made."
*quiet and nods*
Then the questions began...

I've always wondered what it'd be like to bring completely clueless outsiders in and explain it. Shit is weird. 'Nuff said.
I started by showing her pictures to more well made suits from Clockwork and the like... They scared her (My mother is scared of everything.) as they seemed like monsters.
Then i showed her Templa-made stuff. She liked those alot more.
... I don't think it helped that i know almost all the suits by name. I felt like a kid with a pokémon-card deck presenting them for my parents.. And i'm like 12.
Overall: She thinks the furry fandom is weird as shit. But she's okay with it.
Not that it matters in the end; But parental approval is always apreciated and makes life easier. :)
God i love being a Furry. With its ups and downs of weird and weirder.

Though seriously, good that she at least finds it "ok".. There's many less fortunate out there. I'm seriously happy knowing that if I ever tell my parents about it they'll be pretty "meh" about it, they wouldn't care at all as long as it's what I want to do.
This is by no means a 'oh my parents didnt like it :C ' post. This is more of a "Hah. They don't think i'm a fucked up weirdo so its all good! :D " post :)
Overal the outcome was way better than i thought. ^^;
Now i just need to keep her away of the *lightningstrike* ... Porn part of the fandom. Dun dun dunn.. xD
I'll just repeat the fact that most furs are over intelligent, awesome; Super friendly people. A bit odd (but so am i. :D )
We dress up in personifications of our favorite animal and so on.

Inte så nice att hon skrattar åt konceptet.. Nåja. Bra att hon är glad då jag är glad så det sprollar väll i längden.
