Last year my coolers both broke down. So since I live in the Mojave Desert we suffered through 100+F heat last summer.
I just had a new ductless Mitsubishi system installed so this year should be better.
The install took about 3 days.
I also got a new Alberta Fey Peach tree and just got it into the ground today. Wanted one last year but no money to spare. The good thing is I had time to research and found a freestone variety.
All the stuff going on here has kept me busy for the last couple of weeks and I have not been able to get on my computer as much as I would have liked. I will get to answer some messages soon now I hope.

Haven't talked to you in a Coon's age... oh wait =^.~=
May even be longer. The one apple has Braeburn, Fuji, Jona Gold and Gala apples grafted to the same tree. Last year only the Braeburn had fruit. This year I have blossoms on some others. The Golden Delicious tree has had fruit for about 3 years now. Three years ago I planted a grafted pear; it had three types of Asian pears on what looks like a Bartlet tree stock. Last year the Asian pears had so many two branches broke. From the blossoms it looks like the splints I put on saved them. I have installed support to prevent it happening again. I have five apricot trees that I grew from seeds taken from fruit I got at the grocery store. Last year one gave some fruit. This year another one is setting fruit.
Not all has been success though. I have tried two figs, Black Mission and Brown Turkey; both have died. It may be the place I put them.
I had a peach come up from a seed in my compost pile. Transplanted it three years ago and it gave small hard fruit the last two years. About 3 or 4 each time. Most died out this year but a new branch is budding out from the base.
Can't be good for one's health to suffer through such heat.
In Dutch that would such a system is called 'split unit' (seems we like to use English words but come up with our own wording anyway
TO have such a thing will be real nice, I've one small unit installed myself.
If you want to get -say- 4 units indoor you'll need a serious fan outside (um, and a quite some cash).
Hope you got a good deal on it!
