On the Sale of FurAffinity to IMVU

First off, keeping this under wraps from the community until now, pretty dick move and flies in the face of "open community".
To be fair, I understand why, server costs as well as tax / fees / maintenance costs can't be shouldered by ONE person, donation drives go only so far.
As far as terms of sale goes, the terms of sale is between purchaser and purchasee, if IMVU wants to use my content, they need my EXPLICIT consent in order to gain said rights. This is where the DMCA can actually rule in your favour, fellow artists. Understand that until FA throws up a page that's "click to agree to the new terms of service" simply using the service is not consent, you HAVE to agree to the new terms. If the new terms mean IMVU wishes to use my content, then I expect a fucking royalty cheque in the mail on a monthly basis. So far from my understanding, IMVU basically agrees to use the content on the site as display / hosting purposes only.
Does this mean I trust IMVU? Fuck no. But I'm not going to start overreacting anytime soon. If, and only if they start making me explicitly express my consent to do anything will I decide when to pull my content from this site.

I honestly think this will do the site some good! The simple fact that FA is now FUNDED by a company and left Dragoneer in charge of the site means that updates can and will happen. Not to mention no more donation drives that people complained about as they opened their wallets anyways.

To be fair, you could just FLOOD the galleries with nothing but dog and horse dicks everywhere, and they can't use that for advertising or marketing material. :D
the other OWNERS, they were kept 100% in the dark about the sale of FA and they got no money from it, dragoneer got it all.
as for the sale, well imvu has just been handed the entire fa franchise lock, stock and barrel, on the imvu website they said they wont push there rules on this website BUT they did state on dozens of forums messages that if there is to much of one thing then they will put there own rules in place, oh and yes.....one other thing.
imvu reserves the right to use any image on FA since they now own the servers.
FA was run by at least 1/2 dozen people not one.
raptor I've known you for years in sl and on facebook and you know from the drama I've seen in sl u just laugh it off but I dread that in the current climate...inkbunny and furnation might return to the dominant furry community art sites.
