COME JOIN US! Yes the announcement says they agreed not to change anything but they own the site now. They can make any arbitrary change they want to the policy and never inform us of it. They are well known for stealing art and selling it as their own and I honestly can't take the chance of them stealing my characters. Characters that I will no doubt no longer hold a copyright to once IMVU starts making their changes.
I worked hard on those characters! They each have a complex backstory as well as family! The idea of some chat site potentially coming in and stealing my hard work out from under me makes me feel ill. I will slowly be removing my stuff from here and moving it to Weasyl. I don't think I can stay here anymore, I just can't take the risk.

Further, no art will be stolen OR will be used without permission. It's in writing.
2. It happened 3 months ago. If they wanted to change something, they would have done it already
3. IMVU's content policies (Virtual Goods Rating Policy or VGP) only applies to products submitted to our Shop. Content shared on FurAffinity.net site is not regulated by that policy.
As mentioned in our announcement, the only input we have in FA is ensuring the site administrator has appropriate resources to make improvements to the site that he has been wanting to make (servers and such).
We are not implementing any subscription services for FA or generally making any changes to the way that community operates. (said by IMVU staff)
IMVU is going to sink the site, but it will be slowly, through less obvious means.
