I remember my mother trying to install NetNanny, especially with how hilariously easy it was to get around. XD

But the first few minutes were awful because of how much it slowed down the computer!

This was basically how I was able to tell if my mother installed any keylogger or monitoring software of any kind. :)

and no student ever looked up porn on a school computer, ever.

At school we had some software called Frozen State and what it did was basically revert Windows XP back to an image they'd made on the network every time you reset your computer. It didn't block anything, just made it so that if you fucked up the computer resetting it would fix it. But in about 15 minutes of fiddling I realized the password to Frozen State was "unfreeze" and had complete access to toy around with anything I wanted. So naturally I went into Microsoft Office and started changing around the Auto Correct to change some simple words like clock into cock and drink into dick whenever someone was typing them into an office document. And quite a few more that people might not notice unless they actually proofread. Then I refroze the computer with the new image. Little did I know that this affected THE ENTIRE NETWORK including most of the teachers computers that were also frozen because teachers back then typically had no knowledge of IT and this saved them from screwing it up.

There was a bunch more I did until they got more security but I can't remember it off of the top of my head.

Thank God they never found out it was me. :l
