Didn't watch the video yet. but those comments on the video are ridiculous. People don't have to like NSFW stuff, but there's no reason for that type of immature hate on fan content. But this is the internet we are talking about... so random mindless hate on everything is sadly normal... But then again... the same could be said about NSFW content online and how it's a normal part of the internet. So the story of the day is that I think people in general need to lighten up.

The guy pretty much is acting like "Omg why would they do such a thing to Tails!?" And he goes on about how weird and sexual the game is. Though, its really quite funny how he's commenting on the game as he plays it. Only thing that's not needed is the immature people in the comments. I'm sure behind closed doors they're all curious enough to play the game themselves :P

I've said it before this is the only sonic game I've liked in a long time.

I did find it hilarious hearing his reactions, but the comment section makes me really disappointed. These people act like they've never seen Sonic porn before or something. Calling this game bad just because it's sexual is absurd, because that ignores the quality art, animation, and gameplay mechanics that make it good. I mean, they do say "any publicity is good publicity" but it's not very nice hearing your game you put a ton of work into get criticized unfairly, too.

He doesn't seem to say anything bad about your project, Zeta, as I heard. But for most of the video he seemed to be quite surprised by everything, so maybe he didn't checked the main site to see that game is actually 18+ fan-made with no intends to look like something actually suitable in original Sonic universe lore.

As said before, don't worry about YouTube commenters. I remember that everyone who comments there are ready to get ridiculously angry and stupid as soon as you give them a chance. The video itself doesn't trying to harm your project at any way, and well, it's been pretty much the decision of the author to post this video all with censoring. Though, if you don't like the fact that there's Let's Play video of your game on YouTube, you or neoeclipse may contact him and ask for deleting the video. He doesn't seem to be a full idiot, so I guess if request will be given from any of you, he'll delete it.

Can't say any congratulations on matter of that Sonic Show though... I'm unfamiliar with it and hardly interested in checking that channel, but guess there might be plenty of Sonic fans watching it aside of me.


In short - if you don't like the fact that there's Let's Play video of your game, just request the author to remove it, with reasoning that you don't really like the idea of such video or whatever. Ignore comments on YouTube, peoples there are dumb at most. And don't worry about contents of video itself and what's the guy been talking - I heard no bad words adressed to project or anyone who worked on it(he just made a drama joke about traumatised and ruined childhood on matters that Tails got raped multitude times, but that's all I've noticed. Blind play it seems).

I've known The Sonic Show for many years and their content is generally tame. For one of its guys to pick up and play your game came as a surprise to me. Course, the comments that followed are generally the basis for YouTube it's the sad norm nowadays. However, like with what people said here, there were a few positive comments to it.

I don't really know why people would be congratulating you over this. I just watched it for the first few minutes and... his reactions are so horrible and stupid that I couldn't watch the rest of it. I wouldn't concern yourself with what that guy says or even the comments on there. The people that watch that channel most likely expect him to act that way, but honestly it feels like he was not the professional Lets Play gamer.

Just ignore them, they don't matter in the grand scheme of what your working on and enjoying. Plus there are people here that enjoy what you are doing so don't let those mean comments bog you down.

and that is a really good thing.

it's that saying that there is no bad publicity,
well this is a good example of it.

if someone really hated or didn't care they wouldn't
have taken time out of their day/days to record a play through
and then take time to edit something so they can passionately

they'll keep coming back. I can tell you I've actually bought terrible
games before because people give them bad reviews and then
wind up loving them both because I like them as a game as

never known about the game had someone not called it out, whether
it be a good call or bad, it's getting acknowledged.

you've got more play throughs happening, yes people are going
to want your game.

And don't feel bad about the minute bad comments,
god knows the only reason the billions of positive comments aren't

I don't know anything about the people who did this, but here's what I think after watching the video:

1) the person playing this was clearly not told that it was an erotic game, and so his first shocked impression colored the rest of the report.

2) the game was recommended to him by a friend as a joke and he just played it without checking it out first.

3) he seemed to like the game play, but he didn't like the character rape aspect, probably because he either doesn't watch porn or he is a Sonic 'purist' who doesn't want to see the characters 'violated' in this manner (I mean figuratively, not literally).

He also didn't take the hint when the game's majority of playable characters are female and their portraits implied they were naked, or at least topless. He should have taken one look and been like 'Well, I see where this is going'. Not to mention the massive hint from the splotched white fluid under the X in Project X. Or the title screen having two naked women with their features covered by text. Those were big enough hints to state this game isn't for everyone.

Also, first screen in the game; every female character is right there, having sex/being violated. He should have known then and there what this game was.

Zeta, just ignore him. He and his fanbase are all a bunch of "pure and innocent" Sonic fans, who are probably fapping to the game as we speak, their mouth stating how offended they are while their hands are stroking their dicks. They won't be happy no matter what you do with this game, so just continue making it the way you want to.

Why would the Sonic Show do a video about your game? I would think it would hurt the show's rep cause they are playing a NSFW game and posting a video of it on Youtube.


And just ignore them. I personally love all the detail you and your team put into the sprites and the games in general.
