I have a nicely paying job, pay for commissions through work. What's so hard to understand about that? I'm not bidding $1K on commissions, and we've been publicly posting donation money, where it's going to, etc.

While it's slightly older and needs updating, EVERY donation to FA was made public. Every expense FA has made was listed. Every single person who donated to FA could look it up on that list and verify their payment is listed, see where the cash went, etc.

I've always been up front and public with donations, and we're one of the ONLY sites to do this. Go try to find this information from other sites. I think Wikifur is the ONLY one that lists it to any sort of depth and detail.

Hey, thought, if you suspect someone is using donations to buy personal items, then *gasp* don't donate! It's really that simple. That said, Dragoneer does a pretty good job documenting where all the money goes just to avoid this drama BS; name three other community oriented sites, furry or otherwise, that do this. Besides, it's not like the site is eating artwork or crashing every other day (Every other week, maybe, but not every other day =P).

Short and long of it, you're not upset that Dragoneer is (not) using donation money for personal gain, you're just upset because your ego has been allowed to grow unchecked and, now that you've made an ass of yourself to a sliver of the community, feel that you can somehow look like a martyr by storming off and pointing figures.

Just look at Dragoneer's age on his page, I believe at that age that an honest person who has worked hard and has a good job can EASILY afford to get commissions here and there if they so please, not to mention what Neer has already started above about the publicity of where the donation money goes really disproves of your theory that the donations are going to personal usage.

Before assuming things, you really should do research. Don't go shouting out things that you have no evidence for.
